This is One Club you Want to be Part of. What it’s Like to Work with Me.

Wanting your baby to sleep more does not make you a bad parent. You are amazing. Sleep is something we all require to function at the most basic level and when you’re not getting enough, it can be extremely challenging physically, emotionally and mentally. This is almost always the point where parents contact me for support. When they just need/want things to be better.

Earlier this year I worked with a wonderful family who had just welcomed their second child into the world. Having just passed the “newborn phase”, sleep started to get really tough. The little one was amazing however multiple night waking’s, 2+ hour bedtime battles, 4am early wakes and nap challenges all led to mum being exhausted and feeling extremely overwhelmed trying to find ways to improve things.

Our journey actually started on Instagram where we chatted via one of my Q&A sessions. Following this, mum booked in for a free discovery call where we chatted through everything and discussed if sleep support was right for their family. We both agreed my full sleep support package would be the best option for their situation and family.

Mum booked in for the support package via my website, received my questionnaire and 4 day sleep diary that is part of the consultation process before our hour long consultation, as well as booking in for her weekly follow up calls. Our full support package includes the most amount of 1:1 support from an hour long initial consultation, 2 x 15 minute weekly follow up calls and daily app support (Mon-Fri).

During our consultation we spoke through my findings after analysing the sleep diary and questionnaire (this is what makes my support bespoke) , I answered all of mum's questions and then discussed the sleep and action plan I had created. I never tell the parents what to do. We collaborate and I give my knowledge and advice and find a way that works for them and their family and most importantly, they are comfortable with. Life is important and I strive to find a balance between committing the time to improving things and having flexibility to enjoy your life without feeling tied to sleep.

The next steps are where the real change takes place. I email across the bespoke sleep and action plan which has everything you need to know and also includes a target daily schedule with bespoke wake windows for your little one offering you a really solid starting block. This will be something you refer back to way after we stop working together, as it’s full of future tips and added support to help you on your sleep journey with your little one.

Mum committed to our plan 100% and this is always where the best results come from. We decided on a slow and steady approach to begin with as this is what worked for their family however COVID snuck in on them and resulted in us pressing pause for a week until everyone was better. We will always press pause if we need to. You will never lose your support or run out of time due to illness.

We started back a week later, had the 1st of our follow up calls to review our plan again and mum decided we wanted to take a different approach, really going for it and encouraging positive change more quickly. This worked a treat! Our little superstar responded so well to the changes we introduced. By the time our support came to an end, bedtime had reduced from 2+ hours down to around 15 mins most nights, she was sleeping in her cot happily throughout the night and settling quickly for any genuine night waking’s which were now happening less frequently. Naps started to improve too and most importantly for mum, she got to start spending more 1:1 quality time with her eldest son. Such a precious reward for everyone.

Our daily app support is pretty special too. We chat through how things are, any questions you have, celebrate your wins and I will help motivate you on from the tougher days/nights. Tackling infant sleep takes resilience and having my support on hand allows you to focus on having that whilst I help us get to the root cause of your problems and find solutions that will improve things long term, allowing you to build your confidence and feel empowered with your choices going forward.

This is just a little taster of what an Infant Sleep Coach actually does and specifically what it’s like to work with me. I have several testimonials on both my website/Instagram that you can look through and read first hand from the people that know best what it is like to get support from me. I encourage as many questions as you need to during our discovery call to make sure I am right for your family. It’s a huge step deciding to work on sleep and I do all I can to make the process and overall experience as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.
